Kambria delivers

Kambria usually wakes up toward the end of the paper route and likes to hold the remaining papers and hand them to us as we need them. She loves to help! :) The last couple days she has gotten to help deliver the last few houses; she was sooooo excited!

Eli's 1 year dr appointment

Eli had his 1 year dr appointment earlier this week, but I haven't had much time to be online.
He has grown to 30 1/4 inches and 20 lbs 10 oz
He is developing very well!
He can point out Mommy, Daddy, and Kambria in a picture. He kind of says uh-oh by saying "uh-uh" as he drops things on purpose. He constantly says Dada.......I have been working on the Mommy word, but it just isn't happening right now. He has said it before, but a long time ago! He loves to tackle, climb, walk, reach for everything he possibly can, and points at everything. I think climbing is one of his favorite things to do! He will climb everything and anything he can.....it makes me nervous.....he has had his share of falls. He eats everything you give him! In fact he is becoming quite the moocher, which has always been a pet peeve of mine. I guess right now is okay, but give me about 4-6 more months and it will be nipped in the butt real fast! :)
My little baby boy is growing fast into a toddler..........
WHERE DOES TIME GO??????

Eli's second 1st Birthday party

Friday, the 27th we had Eli's "official" birthday party. There weren't very many people who were able to make it. But with the family we had there we had a good time.
I found Tonka party stuff at the dollar store and decided since Eli loves his Tonka truck so much that would be fitting! :) I brought his favorite truck to my parents house as a nice table decoration. :)

We bought the cake at Costco(because they are the BEST) so I added a little of my own "Tonka" touch to it. I scooped up one of the balloons and put it in the bed of the dump truck like it was dumping it on the cake. Jon added the last little detail.....if you look close you will see tire marks in the frosting.LOL
DIG IN!!!! "you want some Mommy!" :)
Thanks Auntie Rose for the fun race car!
Thanks Grandma Watson for the "Laugh and Learn Dog"
Opening Grandma and Grandpa K's present....
I think he loves it! My parents got him a riding Little Einsteins Rocket with a bunch of fun buttons and gadgets! He was so excited he couldn't wait for it to come out of the box!
And here is the happy boy playing with "Rocket"! He didn't want to get off for at least an hour! Even when he did get off for a quick second and Kambria decided to get on.......he didn't like that at all!!!
Here is a video of Eli playing with his new Rocket.......then he decides to tackle Daddy! :)
Because I figured he would be getting toys from other family and friends and since we already have a ton of toys taking over our house, I decided to get him some brown shoes. I looked everywhere for some that I liked and that were his size. Finally I had to order them; hopefully we will get them this week! They weren't exactly what I was looking for, but they are very close. I will post a pic of him wearing them when we get them. :)

1 year pictures (preview)

My cousin Misty always takes our pictures, she is amazing! We had these taken on Monday and she already finished them! I don't have the disk yet, but I had her email me a few so I could post a preview. My nephew Kaden had his 4 year pics done too and we had Kambria be in a few with them. They turned out so cute!

Eli's first 1st birthday party

Eli's official birthday party is on Friday, but because there are a few family members and close friends who can't make it we decided to have a little party last night on his birthday. I was afraid I was going to be up all night with him because of all he ate, but he did really well! He ate all his mac and cheese (+some) and his bbq chicken.......then he had a whole piece of cake! It's amazing what such a little body can consume! Its a good thing I don't let him eat that much all the time! :)

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY ELI!!!!!

1 year ago (in about 3 hours from the time I am writing this) my little boy came into the world! I had been having contractions for about a week, not severe until a day or two before, but uncomfortable. We had been anticipating his arrival for so long it seemed. I was excited but nervous at the same time. I had a previous c-section with Kambria but was wanting a natural delivery with Eli. I did end up getting an epidural, but they made sure it wasn't so strong that I wouldn't be able to feel each contraction and when I needed to push, to me it was perfect! I remember watching "Family Feud" when all of a sudden I felt like I needed to push. The nurse came in, checked me, and found that I was at 10 cm and ready! Yeah.....here we go! My doctor came in and said that he would be back shortly since I would most likely be pushing for a little while. Oh....he was wrong! He ended up having to run back less than 20 minutes later! I don' t know how women push for longer than I did because that was the hardest and most exhausting thing I have ever done! After coming out face up and giving me 3rd degree tears we got to see our beautiful baby boy! We love him so much and are so grateful that Heavenly father has blessed us with him by allowing us to be his parents and be able to raise him in the gospel. Kambria loves him so much too and loves being a big sister!
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY ELI!!!! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

I can't believe he will be 1 this week!!!

I can't believe it was a year ago I was having contractions and trying to be as patient as possible waiting to see our little Eli! I don't think Heavenly Father could have blessed us with a cuter one! :)
