Jon is working on a Ranch?!!

Thats right, Jon is working on a Ranch.....only not with the animals, but helping to fix it up to make it a nicer ranch. He has been working for our good friends who own Big T Roofing for a little over a year. They have branched out though and now do more than roofing. Last year they put metal roofs on the old barns and helped to restore them. This year they are back and restoring (new foundation and all) an old 1908 house on the property that will become a home for the ranch/farm hand and his little family.
Since it is a little over an hour away, they stay out there overnight quite a bit to save on gas and time. One of the evenings last week, the boss's wife Buffy and I along with the kiddos drove out there to take them dinner. It was fun! The ranch hand, Ryan, and his wife Kristen and baby daughter hung out with us; they are awesome! Kristen took us to see the horses! I love horses! They are one of Heavenly Father's most beautiful creations! They were busy eating so we stayed by the fence and watched them. The kids loved it! Especially Kambria!!!

My first homemade pie!!!

One of my mom's favorite pies is Strawberry Rhubarb. We didn't have any strawberries, but we did have a ton of ripe raspberries in our garden, along with a ton of rhubarb ready to be harvested! So we decided to spend our monday evening picking raspberries and rhubarb in preparation to make my mom a Raspberry Rhubarb pie for her birthday! I have never made a homemade pie before, so I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out. I got the recipies online for the pie and the crust.....and.......I think I did a pretty good job for my first time! I'm actually proud of myself, so I decided to share this and these pictures with all of you! :)

Kambria had fallen asleep early, so we put Eli in the Bumbo on the side deck and he just watched us and played with one of his favorite toys! He's such a good boy and pretty darn cute too!
The ending result!!!!
It was really yummy heated up with a little bit of vanilla ice cream!!!!!!!!!! I made two, one for my mom's birthday and one for us to enjoy too!

Stay tuned.......

I have about 3 or 4 posts to do! Hopefully I will have time to do them or one or two later today. So.....stay tuned..... :)

Kambria and Kaden helping my dad light the candle!
Mom blowing out the "50" candle......we decided it might be a bit of a fire hazard to light 50 candles! :)
We love you Mom! You are amazing and we don't know what we would do without you! Thank you for all you do for us and for being the best Grandma in the world!

Messy Boy & Rolln' Over

Eli has been enjoying his veggies in addition to his rice cereal! Usually I can keep him pretty clean, but as you can see in this next picture he wanted to get messy!!! He wouldn't let me put the spoon in his mouth without him helping me and then he decided to see how his fists tasted while smearing his peas everywhere else! :)

Yeah for Eli! He finally rolled over! Only........he gets mad when he does! He doesn't like playing on his tummy.

"Memories......."

Okay, so I have never done any of the tags, but I thought this one might be fun!

Memory Game
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

Our 4th of July weekend post!

I am finally posting our 4th of July weekend pics! There are a lot!!!
It was a full weekend, but a lot of fun! First, for the 4th we go to Coeur d'Alene every year for the parade and then stay there all day until after the fireworks. For the past 3 years we have sat in the same perfect spot on the beach, just off the of the main beach but close enough to the park for the bathrooms to be close. We sit near the top so we can bbq off of the cement barrier for dinner, but it is still right on the beach so we can relax and swim all day. I have grown to love this tradition!!! I love watching the fireworks on the lake because of the beautiful reflections.

Eli's first Independence Day!

Audrianna(her cousin) and Kambria watching the parade

Eli didn't like the cold lake so much!

Audrianna and Kambria stomping on the water

I love this pic of my happy baby!!!!
Our little fam waiting for the fireworks to start. Eli was actually awake the whole time and just watched the fireworks!
I think this is a cool picture of the firework blast before it spread! And I love the reflection of it off the lake!

After a long day in Coeur d'Alene on Friday we decided to spend Saturday at Silverwood! We spent most of the day at the waterpark and then rode some rides at night when it was cooler.

After Kambria fell asleep, a butterfly decided to rest on her toes for awhile!

Eli didn't know what to think about the water at Silverwood either! I think he might have liked it better if it would have been a hotter day.

Kambria is just like any typical little kid and loves to splash/stomp in the water! :)
This picture was inspired by my cousin Teresa! I think the sky looks beautiful and its one cute boy too!!
Kambria and Mommy playing in Pollywog Pond
Kambria rode a few of the big kid rides with Daddy for the first time! This is them getting off the Sizzler!
.......and this is Kambria's face after riding it! I think she likes the big kid rides!

Eli and rice cereal

Since Eli loves to watch people eat so much, we decided when he turned 4 months (June 25th) we would start giving him rice cereal. He was definitely ready! He loved it! He took to eating from a spoon pretty quickly, I think he just knew how from concentrating on us so much as we ate!

Yummy Huckleberry Sorbet!!!

The Saturday of Father's Day weekend we went to Coeur d'Alene for the "Car d'Alene" show with my Parents. After walking around in the warm weather looking at hot rod cars, we thought it would wonderful to go to Dockside and have one of there very yummy and HUGE sundays! Jon and I decided to try one of their new ones, I don't remember what it was called but it had fresh huckleberries, huckleberry sorbet, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate syrup! It was very yummy! My mom and dad had their favorite peanut butter sunday and Kambria had a kids cotton candy flavored ice cream sunday, with sprinkles of course! We decided that since we were all enjoying these yummy ice cream delites, that Eli shouldn't have to miss out! So he had his very first taste of a cold treat! Here are some pictures of his face/reaction to his tiny lick of Huckleberry Sorbet~

Hmmmmm..........
different.....but........
finger lickn'............
GOOD!!!!!!!!!
