Family Home Evening with Good Friends

Our friend Birdeena and her family were in town last week. So last Monday we decided to get together and have a family home evening! Rhiannon and Madeleine joined us too! George had to work but came over when he got off. I looked online for some ideas for a game we could all have fun with. I ended up finding one but I can't remember the name of it. At the bottom of a container I put cookies down and then covered them, over that there were multiple pieces of paper that had to be pulled out before we could get the the cookies. On each piece of paper there was an instruction of something that the person had to do; for example: make a scary face, bark like a dog, act like a chicken, sing twinkle twinkle little star while plugging you nose, do the hokey poky, ........... The container is then passed around while music is playing, just like hot potato, and whoever has it when the music stops has to pick a paper and do whatever it says.

It was something that the kids could participate in and we, the parents, were able to be silly and have fun too! :)

Here are Birdeena's kids and Kambria playing "ring around the rosie" (I was hoping one of the adults would have picked this one.....that would have been funny!)

Birdeena's husband Chris had to sing "Row Row Row Your Boat" while doing jumping jacks! :) LOL! What a good sport! :)

After all the pieces of paper were done, we were able to get to the prize! Yummy chocolate chip cookies I had made earlier! :)

The whole FHE crew!

It turned out to be a really fun night and with GREAT company! Thanks for coming over guys! We'll have to get together again next time you come in town. :)
